What it is
The 2-Way SMS AI Assistant replies to your leads over SMS in a natural back-and-forth. When a lead texts your number, the assistant answers, keeps the conversation going, and works through the Jobs you attach — capturing details, sending links, and tagging the lead. When a human is needed, it hands off the thread.

Before you start
- Connect an AI provider (ChatGPT) — see AI in Voizee: Overview & Setup.
- Create the Jobs the assistant should run — see AI Assistant Jobs.
- Have a texting-enabled number.
Set it up
- Go to AI & Automation → 2-Way SMS AI Assistant.
- Click Create AI Assistant.
- Write the assistant’s instructions (prompt) — its personality and how it should handle conversations — and a welcome message.
- Assign it to the business number(s) it should answer on.
- Under AI Assistant Jobs, attach the Jobs you want it to run (for example, *lead qualification* and *send appointment link*).
- Save and send a test text.
How it works
When a lead texts you, the assistant reads the thread and replies in context. It follows your attached Jobs — asking qualifying questions, sending your scheduling link, tagging the lead — and records everything in the lead’s history. If the lead asks for a person, or a Job triggers an escalation, the assistant hands the thread to your team, who can reply from the same conversation view.

- Keep replies short and human — that’s how good texting reads.
- Attach an escalation Job so leads can always reach a person.
- Honor opt-outs. The assistant respects standard stop/unsubscribe requests.
- Review threads early and refine your Job instructions.
