SendGrid Integration

In short: The SendGrid integration lets you send Voizee mass email campaigns through your own SendGrid account. Connect it once by pasting your SendGrid API key under Settings → Organization → Integrations.

What it is

SendGrid is a cloud-based email delivery platform used by businesses to send transactional and marketing emails at scale. This integration connects SendGrid to Voizee as an alternative email service provider — when enabled, your Voizee mass email campaigns are delivered via SendGrid instead of the default AWS SES provider.

Why use it

  • Use your existing SendGrid account — leverage your established sender reputation and deliverability settings.
  • Alternative to AWS SES — choose SendGrid if you already have it set up or prefer it over AWS.
  • Reliable delivery — SendGrid handles email infrastructure, bounce management, and deliverability at scale.

Before you start

  • A SendGrid account — create one at sendgrid.com if you don’t have one yet.

Step 1 — Verify your sending identity in SendGrid

Before generating an API key, verify your sending identity in SendGrid — choose one of the following:

Domain Authentication (recommended)

  1. Go to Settings → Sender Authentication → Authenticate Your Domain.
  2. Enter your domain and follow the instructions to add the DNS records provided by SendGrid.
  3. Click Verify.

Note: Domain Authentication is strongly recommended — it improves deliverability and removes “via sendgrid.net” from your outgoing emails.

Single Sender Verification

  1. Go to Settings → Sender Authentication → Verify a Single Sender.
  2. Enter your name, email address, and company details.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Check your inbox for a verification email from SendGrid and click the confirmation link.

Step 2 — Generate an API key in SendGrid

  1. Go to Settings → API Keys.
  2. Click Create API Key.
  3. Give it a name — for example, Voizee.
  4. Select Full Access or restrict to Mail Send permissions.
  5. Click Create & View and copy the API key.

Note: Copy the API key immediately — SendGrid only shows it once.

Step 3 — Connect SendGrid to Voizee

  1. Log in to Voizee
  2. Go to Settings → Organization → Integrations and find the SendGrid tile.
  3. Click Connect (or Manage if already connected).
  4. Paste your API key into the API Key field.
  5. Click Save.

Note: Once connected, mass email campaigns will be delivered via SendGrid. Your API key is encrypted and can be removed at any time.

FAQ

Is SendGrid a replacement for AWS SES?
Yes — SendGrid is an alternative email provider. When connected, Voizee uses SendGrid to deliver mass email campaigns instead of AWS SES.

Can I have both AWS SES and SendGrid connected?
No — only one email provider is active at a time. Enabling SendGrid will route mass emails through SendGrid.

How do I disconnect SendGrid?
Open the SendGrid Integration page and click Remove Integration.
